Is Miss California Right

Miss California has caused a furor among ­gays lesbians and others (full story at FoxNews.com) by stating that she believes a marriage should take place between a man and a woman.  The question was asked by a celebrity gay blogger Perez Hilton.  Now the entire gay community is upset and so are their supporters.  But is Miss California?  Does she has the right to have her own opinion?  If yes then why the liberals who believe in gay rights are not willing to respect her right to free speech?  Why President Obama can take that stance and she cannot?  Irrespective of whether she was right or wrong, I think she has the right to have an opinion and state that opinion and bloggers like Perez Hilton have no right to bash her for that.  What do you think?
