Alabama Law Foundation Scholarships

Alabama Law Foundation offers three scholarships for law students in the state of Alabama.

Cabaniss, Johnston Scholarship is a $5000 award to recognize and assist academically outstanding second-year law students who are also Ala­bama residents.  The scholarship is awarded annually to a law student who is an Alabama resident attending an ABA accredited law school in the second year of study. Beyond those requirements, conscientiousness, dependability, civic involvement, financial need and
dedication to the highest standards are taken into consideration.

William Verbon Black Scholarship is offered to law students who are Alabama residents and demonstrate academic achievement. Additional factors are consciousness, dependability, civic involvement, financial need and dedication to the highest ethical standards.

Law Scholarship for Women in Alabama -  Janie L. Shores Scholarship is awarded to one or more female Alabama residents ­attending an Alabama law school.

Justice Janie L. Shores Scholarship Funded by the Alabama State Bar Association, the Justice Janie L. Shores Scholarship is awarded to one or more female Alabama residents attending an Alabama law school. Varies Varies Montgomery
