Arizona Family College Savings Program

The Arizona Family College Savings Program also known as Arizona 529 Plan is a plan sponsored by the state of Arizona. It offers an easy, flexible, and tax-advantaged way to save for college. Here are some of the benefits of the Plan:

    Investment Options

    Arizona College Saving Program offers three options: College Savings Bank College Savings Bank offers the CollegeSure® CD under the Arizona Family College Savings Program. The CollegeSure® CD is a certificate of deposit indexed to college costs and guaranteed to meet future tuition, fees, room and board. You can open an account with $250 or sign up for a direct deposit program with as little as $25 per pay period. Fidelity Investments The Fidelity Arizona College Savings Plan is sponsored by the Arizona Commission for Postsecondary Education and managed by Fidelity Investments. It offers a variety of investment products. Some of the good feature are:

  • The plan’s new index portfolios are among the lowest cost in the 529 industry, capped at 50 basis points.
  • There is no annual fee
  • Families can open an account with a minimum initial investment of $50, or as little as $15 per month with an automatic investment plan.
  • Fidelity offers unlimited, complimentary planning and guidance services to help families save for college and other financial goals.
  • Fidelity Investments 529 College Rewards® American Express® card allows families to earn 1.5 percent on all eligible retail purchases. Waddell & Reed Waddell & Reed offers an advisor-sold plan with investment options that include actively managed mutual fund portfolios such as Age-Based Portfolios, Static Portfolios and Individual Fund Portfolios.
