American education system is transforming.  Bellevue Community College in Bellevue, WA  has just demonstrated that.  They have recently graduated four students with students with developmental disabilities.

According to a report by Seattle PI - Bellevue Community College students are the first to graduate with
Associate of Occupational and Life Skills degrees, a newly accredited
program for students with developmental disabilities.

College officials are touting the Venture program as the only
accredited associate-degree program in the nation for people with
mental disabilities. Earlier this month, President Jean Floten said
educating students with autism, obsessive-compulsive disorders and
other disabilities is "one of the final frontiers in higher education.

This is definitely a transforming event.  Students can read the fully story by going to PI website.
