ISM Education Loans is a not-for-profit provider of Federal student loans.  They offer Stafford and PLUS loans for students and their parents. Federal Loans for Hoosier Students

In Sept 2005, Indiana University published a report that a significant number of minority and low income Hoosier students are
not succeeding in their classrooms and are falling through the cracks.  To overcome this challenge, Indiana government committed on making things better for Hoosier students.  This included  educating them about their financial aid opportunities.  Hoosier students can qualify for low rate federal Perkins and Stafford Loans.  They can also qualify for additional private loans if needed.

Indiana Student Loan Forgiveness

Indiana students planning to pursue a career the fields of nursing, teaching, dentistry and armed forces may qualify for a student loan forgiveness program.  Studnets shall contact their lender and financial aid office to explore these options.

Indiana Student Loan Consolidation

Most of the student loans made to Indiana students are eligible for student loan consolidation.  The only major requirement is that student must not have defaulated on a loan payment.  Students shall consult their lender to explore the loan consolidation options.
