Korean American Scholarship
College Scholarships for Korean Americans
If you are or Korean decent then you could be eligible for a scholarhips exclusively for Korean American students. This scholarship is issued by The Korean American Scholarship Foundation (KASF). It is a non-profit, volunteer-managed organization established to help meet the financial needs of Korean-American students seeking higher education. Every year they make more than $3 million in college funds available to more than 3000 students nationwide.
Scholarships Issued by Korean Americans
Chair Scholarships Chair Scholarships are established through a one-time donation of $20,000 or more by individuals and corporations for a lifetime scholarship. A donor can request a specific academic major or a school for the scholarship. A permanent annual $1,000 scholarship is awarded to a qualified student.
Designated Scholarships Designated Scholarships are established to award students in specific fields. The contribution can be made either as a one-time or on a continuous basis. Each student receives $1,000 or more depending on the donated amount.
General Scholarships General Scholarships are provided by the fund generated from various fundraising activities and/or other donations which are available to students in various academic fields and backgrounds. Each student receives from $1,000 or more, depending on the availability of funds.
High School Achievement Awards High school juniors are eligible to apply for the High School Achievement Award. Selection is based on academic achievement including PSAT scores, community service, talent and leadership. Each student receives $100 or more.
How to apply for the Korean American Scholarship Foundation Scholarships
A student with a minimum 3.0 GPA, demonstrated financial need and currently enrolled in a full-time undergraduate or graduate program is qualified to apply for the KASF scholarship. The scholarship recipient is selected on the basis of financial need, academic achievement, school activities, and community services. KSEA scholarship
Korean American Scientists and Enginers scholarship is designed for students with Korean heritage. They offer two types of scholarships:

KUSCO-KSEA Graduate Scholarships
This scholarship is designed for graduate students of Korean heritage, who are studying science and engienering. The scholarship amount is $1500 and all scholarship recipients are required to make an oral presentation on on their research area at the US-Korea Conference on Science, Technology, and Entrepreneurship.
