Scholarships for Lacrosse
Lacrosse a sport mostly played in the U.S. and Canada (national summer sport) is slowly catching up and has been noticed by NCAA lately as one of the fastest emerging sports. The sport is played by both men and women as a collegiate sport and they both are available for various scholarships.
NCAA Lacrosse Scholarships
Students who play Lacrosse and are interested in attending a college where Lacrosse is part of the the college athleics, should contact NCAA for both undergraduate and graduate scholarships. Students should aslo look into NAIA for the same.
Annapolis Youth Lacrosse Association Scholarship
AYLA based out Anne Arundel County, Maryland offers a scholarshp to students who are high school seniors. The award is in the amount of $1000.00.
The Alfond Family Athletic Scholarship - Georgetown Univeristy Scholarship
This scholarship was started in May of 1990 by Harry Alfond of Dexter, Maine also the founder of Dexter Shoe Company. The scholarship is awarded to one or more full-time undergraduates playing intercollegiate men's lacrosse for Georgetown, with preference to a student-athlete from New England.
Tony Cullen Memorial Schloarship Fund
Offered through North Carolina Lacrosse Officials Association, high school students planning to attend a college and play Lacrosse can get up to $1000.00 in a Lacrosse scholarship.
The Watertown Lacrosse Scholarship Program
The Watertown Lacrosse Scholarship program is for students who have played two years in Watertown Lacrosse. The monetary award will consist of either $500.00, or $1000.00 grant for one boy & one girl.
The Ray Maitland Memorial Scholarship
Offered by Texas High School Lacrosse League, every year the Ray Maitland Memorial Scholarship awards $500.00 cash scholarships to graduating seniors (male and/or female) who plan to attend a college or university and continue to play lacrosse.
