Law Scholarships for Hispanic and Latino Students

Hispanics are the fastest growing ethnic community in the U.S.  More and more hispanic students are attending college and purusing education in teh field of law.  In order to encourage them to attend the law school there are several scholarships available to them:

The Puerto Rican Bar Association (PRBA) Scholarship

All Latino students attending law schools in the United States are eligible for this scholarship. PRBA selects recipients based on financial need and academic promise. All applicants must be a first or second year student.

Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund

MALDEF Law School Scholarship Program awards up to $7,000 each year to individuals who can demonstrate involvement in and commitment to serve the Latino community through the legal profession.  Student must be entering their first, second or third years of law school. Students must be enrolled in law school full-time in the upcoming school year to qualify.   They also should have a good academic standing and financial need.

ALPFA Professional Leadership Scholarship at University of Phoenix The University of Phoenix has partnered with the Association of Latino Professionals in Finance and Accounting (ALPFA) to offer a scholarship program. Ten (10) full-tuition scholarships are offered to complete a master’s degree program at University of Phoenix. Recipients may choose to attend a University of Phoenix on-ground campus or may attend University of Phoenix online. Varies August 31st
