Lien for Student Loan

Student Loan Lien

Most of the student loans are made without a lien.  However, if you have Federal Student Loans or Private Student Loans you are required to pay them on time and in full unless you have qualified for a loan forgiveness program.  If a person fails to pay his/her student loans, the lender or US Department of Education may be able to put a lien on student's personal property such as a home, car or paycheck.
