Tax Benefits of Louisiana 529 Plan

  • Plan participants can enjoy a contribution deduction for up to $2,400 per beneficiary, per year, or, if married and filing jointly, $4,800 per beneficiary. Unused portions of the contribution limits may be carried forward to subsequent years.
  • All earnings are free from Louisiana state and federal income taxes.
  • Students may qualify for additional financial aid from the state government.
