The Marie Trahan Susman Godfrey Scholarship
Law Scholarship for African American Students from Texas
The Marie Trahan/Susman Godfrey Scholarships will be available to African-American residents of the State of Texas, who are attending any accredited law school in the United States. The scholarship was started in 2008. The first Marie Trahan/Susman Godfrey scholarship was awarded to law student Erreka Campbell, a second-year evening law student at Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law and also a Dean's Scholarship recipient. During the day, she supports her family as an assistant manager at Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. She holds an MBA and a BBA from Baylor University. Students interested in applying for this scholarship can contact the JLTLA foundation.
