Scholarship for Minority Students Attending Master of Public Health Scholarship at SCSU
Southern Connecticut State University and the Connecticut Health Foundation jointly sponsor scholarships for two students from underrepresented minority groups to complete a Master of Public Health (M.P.H.) degree. The scholarships are designed for part-time enrollment over three academic years, beginning with the fall of 2009. They will cover the costs of tuition, fees and other expenses up to $8,300 annually. To qualify, applicants must:
- Successfully enter M.P.H. Program on part time basis.
- Submit a 500-word essay explaining how they intend to use an M.P.H. degree to help contribute to the elimination of health disparities.
- Have at least one year of work experience in a health-related field.
