Scholarship for Minority Students Attending Master of Public Health Scholarship at SCSU

Southern Connecticut State University and the Connecticut Health Foundation jointly sponsor scholarships for two students from ­underrepresented minority groups to complete a Master of Public Health (M.P.H.) degree. The scholarships are designed for part-time enrollment over three academic years, beginning with the fall of 2009. They will cover the costs of tuition, fees and other expenses up to $8,300 annually.  To qualify, applicants must:

• Successfully enter M.P.H. Program on part time basis.
• Submit a 500-word essay explaining how they intend to use an M.P.H. degree to help contribute to the elimination of health disparities.
• Have at least one year of work experience in a health-related field.
