Protesting Against California Gay Marriage Ban

Life as a gay student in Seattle was excellent until recently when I was able to select the first black President of the United States of America but at the same time my fellow gay Americans will be discriminated again in California. My dream to legally marry my partner after graduating has been shattered.  I was hoping that this Change we brought by electing Senator Obama will be a change for good and change for everyone.  But apparently, it was not a change for my community.  I was hoping that Obama will legalize gay marriages across the country.  But ultimately, my community has become the victims of discrimination and hate which we have seen traditionally.  Even today, you can get fired from your job for being gay in 30 states.  When would the Real Change happen?  Senator Obama, I voted for you to become the President of United states.  Will you get me the respect and equality I deserve?
