Boy Scout Scholarships
The goal of scouting organizations such as Boy Scouts of America is to help boys grow into emotionally, mentally and physically strong men. To help boy scounts acheive this goal, several organizations have created college scholarships for boy scouts. Below is a discussion of some of these scholarships:
CPCESA College Scholarship Program
Cascade Pacific Council, Boy Scouts of America Eagle Scout Association (CPCESA) offers college scholarships to outstanding Eagle Scouts in the Cascade Pacific Council who have 3.5 GPA and are high school seniors. The scholarship amounts range from $500 to $2500.
Royden M Bodley Eagle Scout Scholarship
This schoarship is for scouts of Eagle Scouts of the Cascade Pacific Council who are interested in pursuing education in wildlife conservation, forestry or other allied subjects in educational institutions located in the State of Oregon.
Captain James J. Regan Memorial Scholarship
This merit-based award is a $500 one-time scholarship is for the students who are law enforcement explorers.
Carter Scholarship Grants for New England Scouts
This scholarship is available to scouts from one of the six New England states. The scholarship is for the first (freshman and sophomore) two years of undergraduate college education only and only the high school seniors with financial need can apply for the first time.
Eastern Orthodox Committee on Scouting Scholarship
The Eastern Orthodox Committee Freeport, New Yorkon Scouting offers one $1,000 scholarship and one $500 scholarship upon acceptance to a four-year accredited college or university.
Eisenhower Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship is for scouts attednding one of the Indiana colleges.
E. Urner Goodman Scholarship
The Order of the Arrow offers E. Urner Goodman scholaships with a total amount of $20,000 annually to Arrowmen planning for a career in the professional service of the Boy Scouts of America.
Frank D. Visceglia Memorial Scholarship
The $1000 Frank D. Visceglia Memorial Scholarship is underwritten by the National Association of Industrial and Office Parks and Association for Commercial Real Estate and given to those Eagle Scouts whose Eagle service projects are related to the environment and/or the economy.
Fred A. Bryan Collegiate Students Fund
A grant of $2,500 per year for four years is awarded to a graduate of a South Bend, Ind., high school at a college of the student's choice.
Illinois American Legion Scholarship
The Illinois Department of the American Legion awards a one-year scholarship of $1,000 to a qualified Scout or Explorer who is a member of a Scout troop of Illinois and a high school senior.
National Society of the Sons of the American Revolution Scholarships
The National Society of the Sons of the American Revolution awards scholarships of $5,000 and $1,000 each year to selected Eagle Scouts.
Sheryl A. Horak Law Enforcement Explorer Memorial Scholarship
The Sheryl A. Horak Law Enforcement Explorer Memorial provides scholarship opportunities to law enforcement Explorers who demonstrate superior potential as career law enforcement executives.
The American Legion Scout of the Year Scholarship
An $8,000 scholarship is for the Eagle Scout selected as "The American Legion Scout of the Year." Three runners-up receive a $2,000 scholarship.
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms Special Agents' Scholarship
The bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms Special Agents' Scholarships are given every other year to law enforcement Explorers. The ATF scholarships are awarded in the amount of $1,000 payable to an accredited college or university for tuition.
Tom Matherly Eagle Scout Scholarship
The Tom Matherly Eagle Scout Scholarship provides a grant of $500 to an Eagle Scout registered in the Suwannee River Area Council, Boy Scouts of America.
United States Customs Service Law Enforcement Explorer Scholarships
United States Customs Service Law Enforcement Explorer scholarships in the amount of $1,000 is awarded annually to law enforcement Explorers.
