Scholarships for Statistics

Its all about probabilities and statistics, irrespective of what field you are looking at - Business, Engineering, Government, Medicine, Science, Space or Technology.  Statistics is so critical to these subjects that business schools such a Michael G. Foster Schoool of Business at University of Washington, Seattle won't even let anyone join their MBA program without this class.   It is also one of the hardest subjects to grasp.  In order to promote educaiton in statsistcs several scholarships are being offered:

ASQ Schoalrships

American Society for Quality 's stastics division has  Ellis R. Ott Scholarship for Applied Statistics and Quality Management. Scholarship recipient must be a student who is planning to enroll or is currently enrolled in a masters degree or higher level US or Canadian program that has a concentration in applied statistics and/or quality management.  

National Science Foundation Scholarship

NSF Scholarships in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (S-STEM) is handed out to students studying statistics as well.  This program makes grants to institutions of higher education to support scholarships for academically talented, financially needy students, enabling them to enter the workforce following completion of an associate, baccalaureate, or graduate level degree in science and engineering disciplines. You should contact your financial aid office to see if you are eligible. 

Most of the Math Scholarships can also be handed out to students studying statistics.
