Scholarships for Tourism and Hospitality
Kansas I-70 Association Scholarship
This scholarship is designed for students studying Tourism and Hospitality at Fort Hays State University. To be eligible for the Kansas I-70 Association scholarship, a student must be enrolled in the FHSU program and must be willing to perform internship projects within the state of Kansas. Students who hail from one of the 14 communities in the association will be given higher consideration for the scholarship.
Connecticut Tourism Industry Scholarship
Three scholarships are available to Connecticut residents pursuing degrees in hospitality, travel or tourism at accredited college and universities. The Richard B. Combs Hospitality Scholarship Grant, a $1,000 grant, and the Walter Schoenknecht Tourism & Travel Scholarship Grant, a $1,000 grant, are awarded annually.
VISIT HATTIESBURG Tourism Scholarship
To assist one student pursuing a degree in Tourism Management and seeking a professional career in the tourism industry, VISITHATTIESBURG™ has established a Tourism Achievement Scholarship to be awarded annually. The student must attend University of Southern Mississippi’s Hattiesburg campus and must have a minimum GPA of 3.0.
UTSA Toursim Scholarships
With the help of tourist industry partners UTSA offers several scholarships to students pursuing education in Toursim.
TIIA - Texas Toursim Scholarships
The annual Texas Tourism Foundation Scholarship is for students who are currently enrolled in an accredited Texas college/university as an undergraduate or graduate student and have a 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale. Applicants must be an employee or immediate family member of an employee of a TTIA member organization. A minimum of five Scholarships in increments of $1,000 will be awarded annually. The application process includes an application form, as well as a current resume, two letters of recommendation, official transcripts and a 250 word essay
