North Seattle Community College Scholarships
Scholarships for North Seattle Community College Students
Students at the North Seattle Community College enjoy various scholarships. The Education Fund offers various scholarships to current students.
Types of Scholarships for NSCC Students
Merit-Based
A student with a minimum high school and/or college cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.5 can qualify for a merit based scholarship. Student is required to submit a personal statement and provide two recommendation statements from a professor, community leader, or personal acquaintance. Any other responsibilities, leadership, extracurricular and/or community activities in which student was involved will provide an upper hand.
Financial Need-Based
If a student can demonstrate that they are in need of financial assistance to reach their academic goals they can qualify for a financial need based scholarship without meeting the federal financial aid standards. This is definitely unique at NSCC as other schools usually follow the federal financial aid guidelines.
Program-Based Scholarships
Students who are enrolled at NSCC in Electronics, English, HVAC, Music, Physics, Real Estate, and Watch Technology can qualify for a program-based scholarship.
Emergency Funds
NSCC also provides emergency loans to students for books, tuition, etc. Emergency funds are handled by the NSCC Counseling Center.
