Seattle University Scholarships
Being a private college, the tuition bill at the Seattle University can run rather high. However, Seattle University is committed to making college affordable for its students and their families. Undergraduate Scholarships for Seattle University Students
Merit Scholarships for Freshmen Students
Seattle University offers 5 merit based scholarships with a minimum GPA of 3.0, SAT scores of 1470 or higher or ACT scores of 20 or higher. Every scholarship has its own GPA, SAT and ACT requirements. These scholarships range from $5,000 to $16,000 per academic year and are renewable for up to four years (fall, winter and spring quarters) for students who maintain continuous full-time enrollment with the required GPA and complete the required number of credits annually. Undergraduate Transfer Scholarships for Seattle University Students
A full-time transfer student at least 36 transferable credit hours after high school graduation is eligible for one of the two transfer scholarships. The amounts are $10,000 and $12,000 renewable for the number of years remaining to expected degree completion based on the class standing assigned by the Office of the Registrar upon admission. GPA requirements are 3.5 to 4.0. Below is the list of available scholarships.

Graduate Scholarships for Seattle University Students
Students attending graduate programs at Seattle University are eligible for numerous grants, fellowships and scholarships. Below is a list of the few:
- Fulbright U.S. Student covers academic, living & travel costs for 1 year to study, research, or teach abroad in over 150 countries
- Jacob K. Javits Fellowships Program offers up to $42,000 to pursue graduate or doctoral studies in the arts, humanities, & social sciences
- Jack Kent Cooke Scholarship offers up to $50,000 a year for up to 6 years to pursue graduate study. Student must have graduated within past 5 years.
- Soros Fellowship for New Americans offers 20,000 plus 1/2 of tuition for New Americans pursuing graduate study to students under the age of 30.
- Gates-Cambridge Scholarship pays for academic, living & travel expenses for post-baccalaureate study at Cambridge.
- Rhodes Scholarship at Oxford pays for the academic & living expenses for graduate study at Oxford to students under the age of 24.
- Marshall Scholarship pays for academic, living & travel expenses for 2 years of graduate study in the UK
- Fulbright U.K.pays for academic, living & travel expenses for 1 year to study or research in the UK
- Mitchell Scholarship pays for academic, living & travel expenses for 1 year of graduate study in Ireland and Northern Ireland to students under the age of 30.
- Boren Fellowship (NSEP) pays up to $30,000 towards graduate study in languages and cultures outside of Western Europe, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
- Rotary International Ambassadorial Scholarships offers up to $25,000 to study abroad and be a goodwill ambassador
- Rotary World Peace Fellowship pays for academic, living & travel expenses for up to two years of graduate study in international studies, peace, and conflict resolution in schools around the world
- Critical Language Scholarships for Intensive Summer Institutes covers the cost to study critical languages abroad in the summer. (Critical languages include: Arabic, Bengla/Bengali, Hindu, Punjabi, Turkish, Urdu, Chinese, Korean, Persian, Russian, and Azerbaijani)
